Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act, adopted by the SEC in 2012, requires companies to disclose information regarding use of conflict minerals that originate in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and other conflict areas.

Shangxiang Minmetals Inc. has taken all measures and actions since the law published in force to make sure the company is of business free from any conflict materials that originate in DRC and other conflict areas.

We have taken strict controls including:

  • Conducting our standard "Country of Origin" inquiry with our global supply base as part of our conflict minerals due diligence process.
  • Including a contractual clause related to conflict minerals in supplier contracts as part of our standard Terms and Conditions.
  • Requiring, in strict conformity with our Supplier Standards of Business Conduct, our suppliers and vendors to comply with any applicable laws and regulations regarding conflict minerals.
